MEET OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Rendani Ramagoma is the founder and Executive Director of Thusa Lushaka Paralegal and Advice. Rendani was born and butter in a Township called Vlefontein. He attended Primary there at a school called Munzhedzi Primary School and later went to Tshiawelo Secondary School, where he matriculated in in 2005. During his time at high school, Rendani participated in various community development programs under the Umtapo NGO. He also became the President of the LRC in 2004. He also served as the Chairperson of COSAS at Tshiawelo Secondary School. In 2015 at Nelson Mandela University, he was elected Secretary General of the Black Lawyers Association students Chapter. He was suspended at University for five years for participating in the fees must fall demonstrations. As a drop out and having a legal background, he formed Thusa Lushaka Paralegal and Advice. He is currently doing an LLB degree in Unisa.

As the Executive Director of Thusa Lushaka Paralegal and Advice, Mr. Ramagoma Rendani does the following duties :

Leadership and Strategic Planning: He is responsible for setting the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. They provide leadership and guidance to the staff, board of directors, and stakeholders to ensure the organization is working towards its objectives.

Organizational Management: He oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization, including managing staff, financial resources, and program implementation. They develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the organization.

Fundraising and Financial Management: He plays a crucial role in fundraising activities, including developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors, and seeking out new funding opportunities. They also oversee the financial management of the organization, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Board Governance and Relations: He works closely with the board of directors, providing them with the information and support they need to fulfill their governance responsibilities. They collaborate with the board in setting strategic direction, attending board meetings, and providing regular updates on organizational performance.

External Relations and Advocacy: He serves as the primary spokesperson for the organization, representing its interests to external stakeholders such as government agencies, donors, partners, and the general public. They engage in advocacy efforts to promote the organization’s mission and advance its goals.

Program Development and Evaluation: He oversees the development and implementation of programs and services that align with the organization’s mission. They monitor program outcomes and evaluate their effectiveness in achieving desired outcomes.

Human Resources Management: He is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and managing staff members, including providing guidance, supervision, and professional development opportunities. They ensure compliance with employment laws and create a positive work environment.

Risk Management and Compliance: He identifies and manages risks that could affect the organization’s operations or reputation. They ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration: He establishes and nurtures strategic partnerships and collaborations with other organizations, community groups, and stakeholders to enhance the organization’s impact and expand its reach.
